Stichting Toerisme Suriname (STS) is dé instantie waar je terecht kunt met al je toeristische vragen over Suriname. De stichting heeft als doel om het toerisme potentieel van Suriname te optimaliseren en effectief te kunnen bijdragen aan de nationale economie van het land.

De stichting was het eerste formele momentum voor de samenwerking tussen de overheid en het bedrijfsleven. Het is opgericht op 13 mei 1996 door het Ministerie van Transport, Communicatie en Toerisme en Fabrieken.

The Suriname Tourism Foundation was founded on the 13th of May 1996. This foundation was the first formal momentum for the cooperation between the government and the tourism industry.

There purpose is to develop, promote and brand Suriname as an attractive tourism destination. This goal is realized by developing different activities. Mainly in the field of Marketing & Promotion, Product Development and Education & Information.
